It is finally the weekend.

actually this week has seemed to fly by. Kezri tried out and made the fourth grade talent show. She will be juggling to circus music. Way to go girl!!!!! Kalaree has completed most of her "missed" homework. She has quite a bit still to do this weekend. So very little boyfriend time for her. Kami lost and then found her library book. For something that is suppose to stay in her backpack it made it tot he church bag. Glad we thought to look there. David is working on a few more applications. Things at his work are getting rough. His direct supervisor wanted to change his days off so he could have the same days off as his wife, however, that would mean that David would have to work Sundays which he told them upon interview that he couldn't work a regular Sunday schedule but could help out occasionally. His direct supervisor told him that he could change his schedule if he wanted and that there was nothing David could do about it. So David went to the general manager and they...

Send in the Clowns

The fourth grade at the girl's school is doing a talent show this year. Kezri has decided that she is going to try out. Her talent you ask? Juggling!!!! She is not good yet but she is getting there. She currently can do a one handed two ball juggle. She also does a three scarf juggle. She is going to do about a one minute performance to circus music. I will try to get a video of her juggling here in the next few weeks as she practices.

As Promised.

WOW, two posts month!!! Aren't you impressed? Okay so lets do this in an organized fashion. Easter: Because Easter fell right after spring break this year we were able to get some really nice crafting time in. By crafting I mean both baking/cooking and creating items. Our first project was a fabric basket. I wanted to try this for Katie and Jake for Easter. We started by ripping fabric into 1 inch stripes and then we tea dyed it to an antique white. Finally it was crocheted by me into a basket. I love the way it turned out. It was fun to fill also for both Jake and Katie. Next we made yarn eggs using glue, yarn and water balloons. Kezri loved this activity and even recruted her dad into making some with her. > Kezri, Kami and I made homemade Chocolate Covered Marshmallows. There are numerous steps in this process but they are really rather simple. We started by making our own molds using flour and a plastic egg. Then we made the marshmallow and poured into our molds. Then we dip...

Quick update before the big one.

We spent spring break hanging around the house and I actually remembered to get pictures. I haven't had the chance yet to download them to the computer so I will update again this week with all the pictures and details. (I solemnly swear to update said blog within a 7 day period.) A ton has been going on here. Kalaree is officially a teenager. I know I swore that raising a teenager is easy but now I change my mind. I will fill you in on all the dirty details in the next blog. It will consist of attitude, eye rolls, boyfriends and even hanging out with seniors. But not senior boyfriends. I could definitely not handle that. Easter was fun. Kezri and Kami and myself did a ton of crafts to get in the spirit and Jake and Katie came to dinner. It was fun to see family and hang out with them. Again, I will post all about them with pictures here within the week. David did get into Project Hire. It took a lot of argument but we finally go tit done. I think I may of even made a social worker...

Multiple Mamas

Kalaree has starting calling everyone and their dog her other mother. It started with Mikaela. She of course is mama Mikaela. Then she added Mama Denise from Spokane. Well since moving here she has oh I don't know at least seven other mothers. It has actually started some problem in that one of her young women leaders wants to be called mama and she won't call her mama but she calls all these other ladies mama. Now you would think that I would be offended that she cares so much for all these other ladies to give them the title of mama. But really I don't care because I get the wonderful title of Susan. Yes, Kalaree has multiple mamas but I am her only Susan. Plus, recently, while reading blogs of long lost friends I came to realize I had multiple mamas in high school. There was Mama Green and Mama Judkins. Really I think in life we take for granted the fact that it really does take a village to raise a child and if there are enough women in the world to love my daughter and...

Presentation

We have been working with the school nurse at Kezri's school regarding her and tourette's. At the beginning of the school year the nurse was going to go into her class and discuss with them what tourettes is and go from there. However, due to one thing or another it hadn't happened. Well since everything that is going on Kezri has asked that she do a PowerPoint on tourettes to her class. We spent this weekend working it all out and putting it together. She gets to present it on the 9th of February. I am so proud of her because this really is an accomplishment for her. She hasn't wanted to embrace this at all and now she seems to be willing to open up about it. Kalaree is going through withdrawals. Her Ipod decided yesterday to quit. She can't get it to register and all that good stuff. We plan to take it into the apple store and see what it will take to fix it but still. We can't get to Portland till Saturday and that is the closest Apple store. She was going th...

Hair, Hair, and more Hair

Image
We tried a new hair style today in Kami's hair. She hates to have her hair done but at least she only sheds a ton of tears as I do it. I think it turned out quite nice. This is what it looks like up close on one side. Kezri and I decided to try to be crafty. We made flower hair clips to wear in the girls hair. It was a lot of fun to do and Kezri only got one boo boo from the hot glue gun. Good thing I was smart enough to have her work with the low temp while I used the High temp one.
