Memorial day.

Tradition has it that memorial day is THE DAY to have the first of the year BBQ and today was no exceptions. Usually it is us hosting it however today we were invited over to the Brown's. I started the day out by making lemon squares in my favorite 9x13 pampered chef baker. After taking it out of the oven and placing it on the stove top to cool I decided to let David make lunch. Unfortunately, he mistakenly turned on the burner that the 9x13 baker was on and the pan broke in half. So all those looking for Birthday ideas for me. I could really use another 9x13 pampered chef baker. The girls spent the morning taking turns with the digital camera taking all sorts of pictures. I will have to download the pictures on to the computer and then post some here. It has been officially 4 weeks since I took my PRAXIS exam and I should be getting my scores any day now. Not much else going on, which I can't say is too awful bad. I love those relaxing days. I just wish I had more of them.

Now this is by no means a buy these exact thing list. I figured I would gives some basic ideas and you can run from there. I am really getting into the shabby chic look for my kitchen. As you noticed in a previous post I have gotten a few things but I have a few more things I would love to have. These are just few. I like the white and the decorative look. I am also into anything that would go with my new Iphone. I really could use a case and I would absolutely love a docking station at home with speakers so I could use it here. LOVE CRAIGSLIST

Since the new house has a room for each of the girls we ran into a slight problem. Basically how do you make two beds into three and one dresser into three. So I jumped on Craigslist this morning and found two twin size mattresses for $10 each and then another person had 2 box springs for $5 for both. I also found two dressers, nice ones at that for $20 and $40. So I furnished two rooms for $85. We already have a twin bed frame. So I figured I will keep my eyes open for another twin bed frame and keep the bunk beds together so that we have a spare bed for visitors. YES, I expect everyone to come stay with us at least once, we are the cool people. Kalaree is going to refinish (paint) one of the dressers and the bed frame that we have now for her beehive project. How cool is that. Not only does she now have a dresser but she also now has her beehive project to do. WOO HOO!!!!! I am really quite proud of myself to get all this stuff for such a great price and now I don't have to worry...

LOVE craigslist.

I was doing my usual cruise through craigslist tonight when I stumbeld upon a find. A family in a neighboring town is moving and needed to get rid of their loveseat. Slightly sunfaded is how they discribed it but it was free. Well to my surprise when I scrolled down to look guess what I found.... Yup the exact match to our living room set. It is sunfaded, it even looks purple in spots. But hey ours is not in the best of shape either so who cares. So now we finally have enough seats in our living room to have everyone sit without someone being on the floor or a kitchen chair.
