Kalaree

12 years ago today Kalaree made her way into our lives. She started out as a 6 pound 14 ounce baby and now is a beautiful young lady.

She was fast to do everything. She walked at 9 months (more like ran.) She attended preschool at the Wee Chiefs program for two years, where she was the life of the party. Everyone loved her, it wasn't unusual for kids to be fighting over who got to play with Kalaree. Kindergarten was at Discover elementary. She struggled with reading but quickly picked that up in first grade which was in Spokane at Franklin elementary. She has completed the rest of her grades at Franklin and now looks forward to moving onto the middle school. Her talents include, playing the violin, baking, acting and hanging out with sisters and friends. Kalaree has a huge love of animals. She can be found holding and training her rats, loving on the dog or cat and occasionally braiding a horses tail (though not ever on a horse.) She has blest us almost every day with her love of life. Up bright and early in the morning, sometimes even before the sun. She is always the first willing to help out. though there has been times of complaint, for the most part she is a real great help. Volunteering to cook at least one day a week and donating 6 months of cookies for her service act for the young women's camp fundraiser. She is so excited for the next part of her life. She is so ready to move into young women's, to advance into girls camp and planning goals and activities. She has the world in front of her now. Hopefully she can keep her feet on the ground as she reaches for the stars. She is so stubborn that I am sure whatever she puts her mind to she will get.

Her birthday party this year was a small family gathering. Grandma and Grandpa O, Grandma Worley, Great Grandma, Aunt Tess, Uncle Jeff, Aunt Chessica, Uncle Chad, Cousins, Jared, Braidey, and Rory all came. We released 200 lady bugs into the back yard and allowed then to go catch as many as they could. Kalaree got chat now cell phones (more like walky talkies), crocs, jewelry box, tank tops, money and tickets to Keith Urban. We were able to fool her and keep the tickets from her. I told her that she was getting something she had to feed and water, so she thought it was another rat. The tickets were put in a rat box from Petco. Boy was she surprised when she opened that up. we got her cake from Costco and of course for her it was chocolate cake, chocolate frosting and chocolate mouse filling. she still plans to have a small, 3 friend birthday party on Friday the 8th. She is going to have friend over to paint boards. Nothing real big.
