Tree is up....

Of course it was after a disastrous event of not able to find all the parts to the tree, boxes everywhere in the living room, broken "favorite" ornaments. Dave and I ended up going and buying a new tree. Let's be real a $17 tree just isn't suppose to last 4 years. Kami was absolutely hilarious last night too. we of course had Christmas music on and Kami kept giggling at the different songs, like Frosty and Rudolf. Then she was so excited about the tree itself. She even said, "mom, your the best mom ever. You bought us a new van and now a new tree." You would of thought it was Christmas morning the way Kami was acting. I think she likes Christmas as much as I do. Finally one that thinks everything about Christmas is exciting and not just the presents. Hopefully by tonight we will be able to get the rest of the house decorated and present wrapped. Today is my day off to go shopping. I am pretty sure I should be able to get everything done. I have a few other things I have to get situated for additional things going on. We are going to do the 12 days of Christmas again this year. We just have to figure out who we are going to do it for. Then we can start baking. Now to just finish the 30 crocheted snowflakes for my Christmas cards. At this rate they won't get out till summer 2008.

Now this is by no means a buy these exact thing list. I figured I would gives some basic ideas and you can run from there. I am really getting into the shabby chic look for my kitchen. As you noticed in a previous post I have gotten a few things but I have a few more things I would love to have. These are just few. I like the white and the decorative look. LOVE CRAIGSLIST

Since the new house has a room for each of the girls we ran into a slight problem. Basically how do you make two beds into three and one dresser into three. So I jumped on Craigslist this morning and found two twin size mattresses for $10 each and then another person had 2 box springs for $5 for both. I also found two dressers, nice ones at that for $20 and $40. So I furnished two rooms for $85. We already have a twin bed frame. So I figured I will keep my eyes open for another twin bed frame and keep the bunk beds together so that we have a spare bed for visitors. YES, I expect everyone to come stay with us at least once, we are the cool people. Kalaree is going to refinish (paint) one of the dressers and the bed frame that we have now for her beehive project. How cool is that. Not only does she now have a dresser but she also now has her beehive project to do. WOO HOO!!!!! I am really quite proud of myself to get all this stuff for such a great price and now I don't have to worry...

LOVE craigslist.

I was doing my usual cruise through craigslist tonight when I stumbeld upon a find. A family in a neighboring town is moving and needed to get rid of their loveseat. Slightly sunfaded is how they discribed it but it was free. Well to my surprise when I scrolled down to look guess what I found.... Yup the exact match to our living room set. It is sunfaded, it even looks purple in spots. But hey ours is not in the best of shape either so who cares. So now we finally have enough seats in our living room to have everyone sit without someone being on the floor or a kitchen chair.
