Dinner with Katie

We had a fun time this last weekend. We had promised the girls that if they helped rake leaves at Mikaela's house we would take them to see Horton hears a Who at the movies. Well, boy did they luck out it snowed 2 inches Friday night/Saturday morning so they got out of raking but got the movie. Little do they know they will be raking later this week. The movie was cute, what I got to see of it at least. We went with Mikaela and she had McKay which as you all know can be a handful. Anyways, he was being really good for him, just a few jabbering here and there. Well the family in front of us turned around and got really snippy with Mikaela so her and I took McKay and went to walk around the mall while David and the girls finishes the movie. Saturday night we were lucky and Aunt Katie came into town to do some recruiting and so we spent the evening with her. We went to Tomato Street and then we took her to the mall to see the puppies and to get Kalaree a shirt for the pictures we are taking this week. YES, I plan to do pictures this week.

I have been sewing like crazy. I finished a shirt for Kezri and then we found a shirt for Kalaree at the mall that had cherries on it and Kami's shirt has cherries on it so we decided to make Kezri a shirt with cherries on it. So I will be doing that too. I have absolutely everything cut out and ready to piece together. I guess I can tease you a little with pictures of Kami's shirt and Kezri's first shirt. But you have to wait to see the whole thing done till we do real pictures at the park.



We had a major house cleaning day today. It is so nice to see a clean room and minimal clutter. I have to admit that is why I haven't posted a lot of random snapshots. I didn't want to post my messing house on the web. So now that it is clean again look for more random snapshots.

Sunday was a typical day. Church in the morning and then just staying at home relaxing in the afternoon. I needed it after the Sunday that we had. We had 11 Sunbeams. Need I say more.

Well I have a headache and a ton of sewing to do.

Now this is by no means a buy these exact thing list. I figured I would gives some basic ideas and you can run from there. I am really getting into the shabby chic look for my kitchen. As you noticed in a previous post I have gotten a few things but I have a few more things I would love to have. These are just few. I like the white and the decorative look. LOVE CRAIGSLIST

Since the new house has a room for each of the girls we ran into a slight problem. Basically how do you make two beds into three and one dresser into three. So I jumped on Craigslist this morning and found two twin size mattresses for $10 each and then another person had 2 box springs for $5 for both. I also found two dressers, nice ones at that for $20 and $40. So I furnished two rooms for $85. We already have a twin bed frame. So I figured I will keep my eyes open for another twin bed frame and keep the bunk beds together so that we have a spare bed for visitors. YES, I expect everyone to come stay with us at least once, we are the cool people. Kalaree is going to refinish (paint) one of the dressers and the bed frame that we have now for her beehive project. How cool is that. Not only does she now have a dresser but she also now has her beehive project to do. WOO HOO!!!!! I am really quite proud of myself to get all this stuff for such a great price and now I don't have to worry...

LOVE craigslist.

I was doing my usual cruise through craigslist tonight when I stumbeld upon a find. A family in a neighboring town is moving and needed to get rid of their loveseat. Slightly sunfaded is how they discribed it but it was free. Well to my surprise when I scrolled down to look guess what I found.... Yup the exact match to our living room set. It is sunfaded, it even looks purple in spots. But hey ours is not in the best of shape either so who cares. So now we finally have enough seats in our living room to have everyone sit without someone being on the floor or a kitchen chair.
