Meet Emmett and Sandy

I promised Kalaree that once we got to Portland she could get a dumbo rat and I also promised David that he could get an orange tabby.

Emmett came to us from some friends in Spokane, literally just before we moved. He was found abandoned at their workplace. He was rather young, maybe four weeks and barely eating solid food. But he fits in nicely. He was named after the character in the Twilight series book and it fits him so well. He will attack anyone willing to play with him. Melvin and him are always playing. The other day he was hanging on to Mel's tail while Mel spun in circles, it was hillarious.

Sandy we found at a pet store in Portland. It was not hard to find her. She is just under a year and her and Maggie get along great. They had some time of getting use to each other but now they curl up together to sleep.

It's so good to hear that "Tiger" I mean Emmett is fitting in so well w/your family. I am glad. We loved him, but I just couldn't handle a new kitten at this moment. He is a very playful kitten and we loved that about him. Enjoy him! It makes us happy that he is so happy. Probably so glad not to be stuck in the bathroom anymore! LOL

Now this is by no means a buy these exact thing list. I figured I would gives some basic ideas and you can run from there. I am really getting into the shabby chic look for my kitchen. As you noticed in a previous post I have gotten a few things but I have a few more things I would love to have. These are just few. I like the white and the decorative look. LOVE CRAIGSLIST

Since the new house has a room for each of the girls we ran into a slight problem. Basically how do you make two beds into three and one dresser into three. So I jumped on Craigslist this morning and found two twin size mattresses for $10 each and then another person had 2 box springs for $5 for both. I also found two dressers, nice ones at that for $20 and $40. So I furnished two rooms for $85. We already have a twin bed frame. So I figured I will keep my eyes open for another twin bed frame and keep the bunk beds together so that we have a spare bed for visitors. YES, I expect everyone to come stay with us at least once, we are the cool people. Kalaree is going to refinish (paint) one of the dressers and the bed frame that we have now for her beehive project. How cool is that. Not only does she now have a dresser but she also now has her beehive project to do. WOO HOO!!!!! I am really quite proud of myself to get all this stuff for such a great price and now I don't have to worry...

LOVE craigslist.

I was doing my usual cruise through craigslist tonight when I stumbeld upon a find. A family in a neighboring town is moving and needed to get rid of their loveseat. Slightly sunfaded is how they discribed it but it was free. Well to my surprise when I scrolled down to look guess what I found.... Yup the exact match to our living room set. It is sunfaded, it even looks purple in spots. But hey ours is not in the best of shape either so who cares. So now we finally have enough seats in our living room to have everyone sit without someone being on the floor or a kitchen chair.
