Finished another project.



A while ago I crocheted a dress for a gal in our ward. I am sure you all remember the post. Well, the Sunday before we moved the gal had her daughter wear the dress to church. This generated another gal in our ward to ask me to crochet her one but in white with pink. She wants to use it for the next girl baby that she has. The kicker is that she is not pregnant, but she really just wanted this dress. Well my faithful readers know I love to crochet so any excuse I have to do it is a welcome relief. So right after getting here I ran out and bought the thread and got started. Well these dresses don't take long as long as you don't have a baby kitten around. Emmett decided that he LOVES my crochet. So as I woul dmake progress he would destroy it at night. So basically this dress took longer and I probaby crochet it the equivalent of three times. Now, most would be asking why I left it out. Well I didn't realize he was frogging it (unraveling it) for me. I kept thinking it was the girls doing it by mistake, but then one night he went to town and well I ended up starting almost completely over. But hey it is now done. I have a couple of real quick hats and a pair of booties to do and then I can get them in the mail to the new home. I hope she likes it.

Now this is by no means a buy these exact thing list. I figured I would gives some basic ideas and you can run from there. I am really getting into the shabby chic look for my kitchen. LOVE CRAIGSLIST

Since the new house has a room for each of the girls we ran into a slight problem. Basically how do you make two beds into three and one dresser into three. So I jumped on Craigslist this morning and found two twin size mattresses for $10 each and then another person had 2 box springs for $5 for both. I also found two dressers, nice ones at that for $20 and $40. So I furnished two rooms for $85. We already have a twin bed frame. So I figured I will keep my eyes open for another twin bed frame and keep the bunk beds together so that we have a spare bed for visitors. YES, I expect everyone to come stay with us at least once, we are the cool people. Kalaree is going to refinish (paint) one of the dressers and the bed frame that we have now for her beehive project. How cool is that. Not only does she now have a dresser but she also now has her beehive project to do. WOO HOO!!!!! I am really quite proud of myself to get all this stuff for such a great price and now I don't have to worry...

LOVE craigslist.

I was doing my usual cruise through craigslist tonight when I stumbeld upon a find. A family in a neighboring town is moving and needed to get rid of their loveseat. Slightly sunfaded is how they discribed it but it was free. Well to my surprise when I scrolled down to look guess what I found.... Yup the exact match to our living room set. It is sunfaded, it even looks purple in spots. But hey ours is not in the best of shape either so who cares. So now we finally have enough seats in our living room to have everyone sit without someone being on the floor or a kitchen chair.
