In loving memory...


We had such a tragic morning this morning. It started just like any other. We got up and saw all the animals running around playing then all of a sudden Emmett fell over limp. I ran over to him and he was laying very limp and his mouth open and he pooped and then nothing. I called an emergency vet and he had me do a few things but he said that based on what I was telling him and how Emmett was responding to what he was having me do it appears that Emmett is already dead and that most likely it was a heart attack. We said our good byes and shed quite a few tears and then buried him out back. He was such a good kitty and so playful, but it must of been his time to go. We are going to get another kitty and hopefully one just like Emmett because he was so perfect for our family.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! NOOOOOOOOOOOO! NOOOOOOOOOOOO! I can't believe it! The vet said that he was perfectly healthy! NOOOOOOO! I am so sad!!!!

He probably was healthy at the time. The vet I talked to said that sometimes heart issues aren't caught right away. They tend to be hidden until they start growing and that it would be hard to find at 3-4 weeks old. It was nothing that either of us could of prevented. I was missing him this morning when I went to get up and he wasn't there.

LOVE CRAIGSLIST

Since the new house has a room for each of the girls we ran into a slight problem. Basically how do you make two beds into three and one dresser into three. So I jumped on Craigslist this morning and found two twin size mattresses for $10 each and then another person had 2 box springs for $5 for both. I also found two dressers, nice ones at that for $20 and $40. So I furnished two rooms for $85. We already have a twin bed frame. So I figured I will keep my eyes open for another twin bed frame and keep the bunk beds together so that we have a spare bed for visitors. YES, I expect everyone to come stay with us at least once, we are the cool people. Kalaree is going to refinish (paint) one of the dressers and the bed frame that we have now for her beehive project. How cool is that. Not only does she now have a dresser but she also now has her beehive project to do. WOO HOO!!!!! I am really quite proud of myself to get all this stuff for such a great price and now I don't have to worry...

LOVE craigslist.

I was doing my usual cruise through craigslist tonight when I stumbeld upon a find. A family in a neighboring town is moving and needed to get rid of their loveseat. Slightly sunfaded is how they discribed it but it was free. Well to my surprise when I scrolled down to look guess what I found.... Yup the exact match to our living room set. It is sunfaded, it even looks purple in spots. But hey ours is not in the best of shape either so who cares. So now we finally have enough seats in our living room to have everyone sit without someone being on the floor or a kitchen chair.
