Fix it

We have been working on doing random fix it things around the house. The Thunderstorm that rolled through this last week knocked some vinyl siding loose, so David and the girls had to climb out on the roof to pop it back in place. Our fridge quit working last week too. So I had to skip out of work early on day to wait for a repair guy to come around. Work is crazy right now. We really only have 7 days left of school and I have a ton of reports and IEPs that have to get done. Saturday we went out to dinner for Kalaree's birthday. She invited a friend to go with her. We went Mexican. They even sang to her with the Sombrero and everything. David has the picture on his phone so hopefully I can get it uploaded to the page soon. We then had peach cobbler and homemade ice cream back at home. That is right we did not do a cake. She is planning a Birthday party. I think I am going to encourage her to do an Iron Chef themed party. You know secret ingredient and all. Too funny. I am thinking soy sauce. Any suggestions? I haven't really had time to do any real projects. It totally stinks that I go to work and then come home. We planned the family camp trip this last weekend. I am looking forward to getting away for a few days. In fact I just want to disappear for a week maybe and regroup. Too much stress. 7 days left of school. Well I better run. I am really procrastinating and should get at least a few things done so I can leave the last day of school.

Now this is by no means a buy these exact thing list. I figured I would gives some basic ideas and you can run from there. I am really getting into the shabby chic look for my kitchen. As you noticed in a previous post I have gotten a few things but I have a few more things I would love to have. These are just few. I like the white and the decorative look. LOVE CRAIGSLIST

Since the new house has a room for each of the girls we ran into a slight problem. Basically how do you make two beds into three and one dresser into three. So I jumped on Craigslist this morning and found two twin size mattresses for $10 each and then another person had 2 box springs for $5 for both. I also found two dressers, nice ones at that for $20 and $40. So I furnished two rooms for $85. We already have a twin bed frame. So I figured I will keep my eyes open for another twin bed frame and keep the bunk beds together so that we have a spare bed for visitors. YES, I expect everyone to come stay with us at least once, we are the cool people. Kalaree is going to refinish (paint) one of the dressers and the bed frame that we have now for her beehive project. How cool is that. Not only does she now have a dresser but she also now has her beehive project to do. WOO HOO!!!!! I am really quite proud of myself to get all this stuff for such a great price and now I don't have to worry...

LOVE craigslist.

I was doing my usual cruise through craigslist tonight when I stumbeld upon a find. A family in a neighboring town is moving and needed to get rid of their loveseat. Slightly sunfaded is how they discribed it but it was free. Well to my surprise when I scrolled down to look guess what I found.... Yup the exact match to our living room set. It is sunfaded, it even looks purple in spots. But hey ours is not in the best of shape either so who cares. So now we finally have enough seats in our living room to have everyone sit without someone being on the floor or a kitchen chair.
