Halloween

I even got pictures. Kezri went as a mime again this year. That girl does not like change. But at least she had the beret this year for it. Kami went as a baker. Now not to brag or what not but I sewed her apron and hat in one hour and half hours from beginning to end. Really it was a matter of me procrastinating than anything else. But I am really proud of it. I particularly like the cupcake on the pocket because she really wanted it to be made with cupcake fabric and we couldn't find any cute cupcake fabric. I love what we found. The hat pattern is free at www.youcanmakethis.com right now. It has from toddler to adult sizes. It was also super easy to make. We didn't do a whole lot this year for Halloween. The time seemed to fly to this point in the year. Oh well, Christmas will be grand.

On another happy note. We have been cleaning like crazy around our house. A certain someone may be coming to visit me this weekend. It actually works out really well since this is the big bazaar weekend here. I hope she is up to some fun times. I can't wait to see her.

Also I had the craziest craving for oil popped popcorn this weekend and now I am addicted tot he stuff. I ended up buying an oil pop popcorn maker. Now that was hard to find. But I love it. I also ventured into a new ice cream flavor this weekend and now we have homemade mint chocolate chip ice cream in my freezer. It is even green. YUMMY!!!!!

I still have Kalaree's corset to make for her pirate costume and I have to shir like 2 yards of fabric so I may be hating sewing for a while after tonight and tomorrow. But it will be cute when it is all done. I will post pictures. Her road show is this weekend too. So on top of bazaar shopping we will be road show watching. I am so excited.

Now this is by no means a buy these exact thing list. I figured I would gives some basic ideas and you can run from there. I am really getting into the shabby chic look for my kitchen. LOVE CRAIGSLIST

Since the new house has a room for each of the girls we ran into a slight problem. Basically how do you make two beds into three and one dresser into three. So I jumped on Craigslist this morning and found two twin size mattresses for $10 each and then another person had 2 box springs for $5 for both. I also found two dressers, nice ones at that for $20 and $40. So I furnished two rooms for $85. We already have a twin bed frame. So I figured I will keep my eyes open for another twin bed frame and keep the bunk beds together so that we have a spare bed for visitors. YES, I expect everyone to come stay with us at least once, we are the cool people. Kalaree is going to refinish (paint) one of the dressers and the bed frame that we have now for her beehive project. How cool is that. Not only does she now have a dresser but she also now has her beehive project to do. WOO HOO!!!!! I am really quite proud of myself to get all this stuff for such a great price and now I don't have to worry...

LOVE craigslist.

I was doing my usual cruise through craigslist tonight when I stumbeld upon a find. A family in a neighboring town is moving and needed to get rid of their loveseat. Slightly sunfaded is how they discribed it but it was free. Well to my surprise when I scrolled down to look guess what I found.... Yup the exact match to our living room set. It is sunfaded, it even looks purple in spots. But hey ours is not in the best of shape either so who cares. So now we finally have enough seats in our living room to have everyone sit without someone being on the floor or a kitchen chair.
