Happy Belated Birthday Girlie Girl!!!


I am a day late getting this one posted but better late than never.

Kami turned the big 7 yesterday. It is hard for me to believe that it was 7 years ago that I was waiting very impatiently to see my little one. She is definitely my miracle girl. Kami wasn't due until January 12th. But she is always one to do things her way. Kami was breech at birth and had a knot in the umbilical cord. She inhaled amniotic fluid and needed to be intubated. She spent her first three days of life in the NICU. I am so glad that she stuck it out and graced our family with he grace. We call Kami our politically correct girl. She never wants to hurt anyone's feelings. She had the biggest heart. She cries at the animal shelter commercials. Kami also has says and does the funniest things. Around here we have started calling them Kamisms. You never know what will come out of her mouth. Even when she is sleeping she tends to be funny. She is always so full of life, yet she knows when to behave. She loves school and loves learning. She is one of those that is brave enough to invite her teacher to her birthday party. She loves to dance and she especially loves to do anything related to art. She can always be found in front of her easel or on her digital art desk. She is quite the talented artist, and even claims to be a french artists. If you ever get a chance ask her to show you her french impression. It will have you laughing. Kami has always loved animals. She claims that one day she wants to be a vet. She wants to help all the sick kitties. That girl truly is a blessing to everyone that she graces. She keeps the boys in lines and loves doing all the girly stuff with the girls. With the exception of her hair. she would definitely opt out of getting her hair done if she could. Kami has always had a special place in everyones hearts. She loves her granparents, everyone of them. Everything from quiet walks with her Grandma O to wrestling with Grandpa O to napping in Papas arms int he arm chair. I figured I would end with a Kami through the ages.

Now this is by no means a buy these exact thing list. I figured I would gives some basic ideas and you can run from there. I am really getting into the shabby chic look for my kitchen. As you noticed in a previous post I have gotten a few things but I have a few more things I would love to have. These are just few. I like the white and the decorative look. I am also into anything that would go with my new Iphone. I really could use a case and I would absolutely love a docking station at home with speakers so I could use it here. LOVE CRAIGSLIST

Since the new house has a room for each of the girls we ran into a slight problem. Basically how do you make two beds into three and one dresser into three. So I jumped on Craigslist this morning and found two twin size mattresses for $10 each and then another person had 2 box springs for $5 for both. I also found two dressers, nice ones at that for $20 and $40. So I furnished two rooms for $85. We already have a twin bed frame. So I figured I will keep my eyes open for another twin bed frame and keep the bunk beds together so that we have a spare bed for visitors. YES, I expect everyone to come stay with us at least once, we are the cool people. Kalaree is going to refinish (paint) one of the dressers and the bed frame that we have now for her beehive project. How cool is that. Not only does she now have a dresser but she also now has her beehive project to do. WOO HOO!!!!! I am really quite proud of myself to get all this stuff for such a great price and now I don't have to worry...

LOVE craigslist.

I was doing my usual cruise through craigslist tonight when I stumbeld upon a find. A family in a neighboring town is moving and needed to get rid of their loveseat. Slightly sunfaded is how they discribed it but it was free. Well to my surprise when I scrolled down to look guess what I found.... Yup the exact match to our living room set. It is sunfaded, it even looks purple in spots. But hey ours is not in the best of shape either so who cares. So now we finally have enough seats in our living room to have everyone sit without someone being on the floor or a kitchen chair.
